To accurately interpret and present history from an African
American perspective in order to help all American and International visitors
better understand and appreciate the contributions of African Americans to
America as well as the world.

pioneers in Atlanta. Learn about the
powerful Black Families that helped to
make Atlanta great. See things from an
era gone, and items that have transcend-
ed through time. The APEX has extensive
information on the history of Auburn
Avenue. Inside you will find artifacts,
photographs and multi-media
presentations on the African American
cultural experience both past and present.
All Aboard! Our Trolley Theater
provides the right atmosphere
for video presentations on
African American experiences.
Videos shown are; "Sweet
Auburn: Street of Pride", "The
Journey", and a number of
children's shows (The
Croations presentation of
inventor Lewis Latimer) &
(African Tales of courage,
honesty and respect).
